West Lafayette, OH – The McVay Memorial Bench Show saw 35 beagles and handlers competing for the titles of Champion of their respective divisions in the bench show. The Best of Show and Best Female of the show was Harley owned and handled by Greg Moore. Below are the rest of the day’s bench winners.

West Lafayette, OH – The McVay Memorial Hunt had 101 dogs in the early morning qualifying round with 26 dogs advancing. The afternoon group had 64 dogs competing for a berth and 15 dogs qualified . That was 165 Dogs in total for the day, not a bad hunt! The next round will consist of 11 cast looking to advance on trying to win the McVay Memorial and some cash for the weekend’s events! The first round will begin Sunday Morning with 3 rounds running Sunday to crown the overall hunt winner. See below the list of those advancing.

West Lafayette, OH – The McVay Memorial Hunt Youth Event saw 8 youth competing for a finals spot. Judges Jeffrey Roberts and Kenneth Wilburn reported EXEMPLARY SPORTSMANSHIP and MANNERS displayed by all of the youth competitors. The youth ranged from 17 years old down to a mature 4 years of age! The two youth winners were Logan Pruitt hunting Bell and Greg Miller hunting World Champion Blue Thunder Rock Bottom. The club and Purina awarded all of the youth with a prize package for their participation and sportsmanship in the event! The club also split their portion of the calcutta with ALL of the youth. West Lafayette, OH – The McVay Memorial Hunt Weekend has been kicked off with 30 puppies participating in the Pup Derby. With wet rainy weather the lighting and thunder it did not dampened the spirits of those in attendance at the 6:00 am deadline. As the day progressed the skies cleared and the weather cooperated. The Youth hunt will be held this afternoon and tomorrow starts the two rounds of qualifying for the Memorial hunt. There also will be a bench show along with an unprecedented raffle giving away roughly $30,000.00 in prizes.
