The First Annual Spring National Pup Derby was held at Cumberland, OH on Thursday afternoon.  There were 28 entries that competed in 85 degree sunshine.  It came down to two dogs and they decided to run it off.  Congrats to Chenoweth Fork Nitro, owned by Kenny Wilburn of Piketon, OH.  Nitro is 10 months old and out of Arrowhead Blue Racer owned by Jeff Horsley and Odell's Shade Blue owned Kenny Wilburn.  Congrats to Kenny and Nitro for a hard fought win, earning $304 and the claim of the Derby Championship.  Second place went to Pillar's Gracie, a 10 month old owned by Harold Pillar of Columbus, KS.  Gracie is out of TK's Rockhill Rambler and Sullivan's Say La Viva.  Third Place went to Hurry Up Hells Bells, a 17 month female out of Hurry Up Spanky and Hurry Up Jelly Bean. Bell is owned by Hurry Up Kennel and handled by Brad Hanners of Newcastle, OH.  Fourth place went to Sugar Run's Big & Rich Betty, a 10 month old out of Chaffin's Gus and Chaffin's Miss Haley.  Betty is owned by Amanda Sias from Circleville, OH.  A special thanks goes to Purina for sponsoring the hunt!
